There’s no place in the world quite like Georgian Bay.

As the worlds largest freshwater archipelago, the Thirty Thousand Islands are home to over 1,100 native plant and animal species - many of which are at risk. The Canadian Shield that it sits on is over two billion years old, but without proper stewardship we may not be able to enjoy Georgian Bay in another two hundred.

Thirty Thousand is a nonprofit initiative designed to help preserve and protect Georgian Bay while stimulating responsible local commerce.

We partner with companies across the region to offer limited edition products that have been developed sustainably.

100% of the profits from these products go directly to organizations stewarding projects on the Bay - whether protecting land, water, plants, or animals.

Frequently Asked Questions

Really? 100% of the profits?

Really. Every cent of your purchase goes either to a local business, or to the organizations above. I don’t keep anything.

Why are you doing this?

You might have noticed that I spend a lot of time on Georgian Bay. I want to help protect and preserve it, and this seemed like a good place to start.

How will I know where the money goes?

I’ll send out a report annually to everyone who makes a purchase to let you know how much we raised, and where the money went.
